ANNE HECHE STORMS OFF ‘DWTS’ SET AFTER TYRA BANKS FLUBS ELIMINATION – (10/07/2020)

A “furious” Anne Heche left the Dancing With the Stars set Monday after being eliminated following a mix-up, Page Six reports. Heche refused to do press and left the lot immediately.

Heche wasn’t theonly one who was confused after new host Tyra Banks announced that Cheer coach Monica Aldama and pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy were safe, when they were actually trailing the pack. Then, Banks said that Heche and pro Keo Motsepe, and Vernon Davis and Peta Murgatroyd were the bottom two, leaving Chrishell Stause and Gleb Savchenko onstage amid the confusion.

Then, Banks called Aldama and Chmerkovskiy back to the stage to face elimination. “There has been an error in the control room. This is the craziness of live TV,” the supermodel said during the confusion. “I’m so sorry. This is live TV.”

But the pair were saved, and Heche was sent home. Banks tweeted: “Wowzers. Live TV. Wrong name on cards. So challenging to deal with moments like these. But we power through.”

Others weren’t as blithe. Chmerkovskiy compared Banks’ error to Steve Harvey’s infamous snafu at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, when he announced the wrong winner.

“Just got Steve Harvey’d #dwts,” he tweeted.

Lady Gaga was first linked to Carino in February 2017 after ending her engagement to actor Taylor Kinney. Us Weekly reported in November that Lady Gaga secretly got engaged to Carino over the summer. POST MALONE TEAMS WITH OMAZE TO RAISE MONEY FOR FOLDS OF HONOR – (10/17/2018)

Post Malone is going undercover for a good cause. The rapper is partnering with Omaze to give away a free Bentley to one lucky winner. The winner will also be flown out to LA to take a joyride alongside Post Malone.

Posty is teaming with the charity fundraising site Omaze to raise money for Folds of Honor, which provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of disabled and fallen servicemen and women. The more money you donate, the more chances you’ll get to win the grand prize: a 2018 Bentley Continental GT V8 Convertible.

The winner will also be flown to L.A. to take a test drive in their new ride with Post. The car, the flights, the hotel, the car’s taxes and the cost of shipping will all be included as part of the prize.

To promote the contest, Posty filmed a video in which he goes undercover in a record store as a salesman and pranks unsuspecting customers. He offers his own record to a woman for half-price, explaining, “We’re trying to get rid of it ‘cause it sucks. It’s so bad.” After he makes an elderly gentleman read the lyrics to “Rock Star” aloud, the guy tells him, “You need Jesus.”

Post didn’t even attempt to cover up his super recognizable face tats.

Malone, who recently revealed to Jimmy Fallon that he used a rap name generator to create his famous moniker, asked one customer if he has any name suggestions for an aspiring rapper. The customer suggests combining the word “Young” with the last thing he bought, to which Malone hilariously proclaims himself “Young Flashlight.”

Finally, after purposely tripping, falling and spilling albums everywhere, someone who’s in on the joke tells him he’s fired. He takes off his shirt and stalks out the door saying, “I didn’t wanna work here anyways! Ever heard of a smartphone? You don’t need this record store! I’m out!”

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Airlines and federal facilities will accept Maine driver’s licenses through October 2020.

Maine’s secretary of state says the Department of Homeland Security has issued Maine another waiver for compliance with the Real ID Act. The federal Real ID law was passed by Congress after the 2001 terrorist attacks to strengthen rules for government-sanctioned identification. It sets minimum standards for government-issued IDs that are required to enter certain areas in federal buildings or board commercial airplanes.

The current waiver expires on Oct. 10, but Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap requested a renewal in August.

Dunlap’s office says the waiver will be valid through Oct. 1, 2019, but the Department of Homeland Security will not be enforcing Real ID until Oct. 1, 2020. That means Maine driver’s licenses will be valid for federal purposes, including boarding commercial aircraft, until that date.

Portland International Airport Director Paul Bradbury said airport officials are working with Dunlap’s office to eventually provide information on acquiring a driver’s license that complies with Real ID standards. The standards include adding anti-counterfeit technology such as a hologram to driver’s licenses.

Maine was the first state to opt out of Real ID requirement more than a decade ago, but Republican Gov. Paul LePage in April signed a bill into law directing the state to issue new Real ID compliant drivers licenses and non-driver identification cards.

The Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles is implementing systems and procedures needed to issue Real ID licenses and identification materials starting on July 1, 2019.
