‘DRIVERS LICENSE’ TOPS THE CHARTS FOR THE SECOND WEEK IN A ROW – (01/26/2021)

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the second week in a row. The single is followed by Ariana Grande’s “34+35”, which jumped from No. 11 to No. 2. According to Billboard, the remix, featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat, marks the highest-charting Hot 100 by a trio of women soloists in nearly 20 years.

Fans of “Drivers License” were recently left to speculate that Sabrina Carpenter’s new single, “Skin” was a response to Rodrigo’s chart-topping track. The former Girl Meets World star wrote on Instagram that it isn’t true and shouldn’t serve as an “opportunity to send more hate anyone’s way.’

She wrote, “i wasn’t bothered by a few lines in a (magnificent) song and wrote a diss track about it. i was at a tipping point in my life for countless reasons. so i was inspired to do what i usually do to cope, write something that i wish i could have told myself in the past.”

Carpenter continued, “the song isn’t calling out one single person. some lines address a specific situation, while other lines address plenty of other experiences I’ve had this past year..”

IS KELLY CLARKSON’S SHOW GOING TO TAKE ELLEN DEGENERES’ SPOT – (01/26/2021)

Ellen DeGeneres has struggled to hold onto ratings following accusations of unkindness, sexism and racism on her set. Now, Kelly Clarkson’s titular show may take over her slot on NBC, sources tell Page Six.

DeGeneres’ ratings have slipped 8%, and insiders say The Kelly Clarkson Show, which aired after Ellen at 3 pm, might take over that prime slot when her contract ends in a year. Kelly has become the most-watched new daytime show in seven years, and it won three Daytime Emmys last year, including one for Clarkson as best entertainment talk show host.

Last month, ratings for Kelly matched those of Ellen for the first time.

BILLIE EILISH HAS NO IDEA HOW MUCH FRUIT LOOPS COST – (01/26/2021)

In Billie Eilish’s latest interview with Vanity Fair, the singer revealed she wasn’t “in a great mental place” when she made her debut album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.

She told the outlet that “parts of it were great” but that going to therapy has helped her to be in a better place with her new music.  The “Bad Guy” singer says her forthcoming album “feels exactly how I want it to. There isn’t one song, or part of one song, that I wish was this or I wish was that.”

The 19-year-old also shared that after growing up “with no money” she struggles to understand finances now that she has become successful.

Eilish said, “It’s a really weird position I’m in. I feel kind of stupid because I’m like, I don’t know how much Froot Loops are. I tried to order one box of Froot Loops and I was like, Oh yeah, sure. It’s $35. I didn’t know that that’s expensive. I ordered 70 (miniature) boxes.”

Being on the cover of the March 2021 issue of Vanity Fair wasn’t only a triumph for Eilish, but Selena Gomez as well.  The “Lose You To Love Me” singer celebrated that her newly launched makeup line, Rare Beauty was used to give Eilish her cover look.  Gomez shared the image in her Instagram Stories on Monday (January 25th) with the caption “Low key freaking out…You look stunning!”
