‘AVENGERS: ENDGAME’ LEADS NICKELODEON’S KIDS’ CHOICE AWARDS – (02/14/2020)

Avengers: Endgame leads the 2020 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards nominations, with 11. Taylor Swift follows with five, and Frozen 2, Henry Danger and Lil Nas X with four each. 

The Grammy-winning Chance the Rapper has been tapped to host. The show honors kids’ favorite stars across film, TV, music, sports and more. The show will air live on Nickelodeon Sunday, March 22nd at 7:30 pm 

On the kids TV side are A Series of Unfortunate Events, All That, Bunk’d, Henry Danger, Power Rangers Beast Morphers and Raven’s Home.

Favorite movie actress nominees are Angelina Jolie, Brie Larson, Dove Cameron, Scarlett Johansson, Swift and Zendaya; favorite movie actor nominees are Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Tom Holland and Will Smith.

This year’s nod makes Smith the most-nominated celeb in Kids’ Choice Awards history, with 29 nominations. 

John Cena, DaBaby, Tiffany Haddish, Holland, Larson, Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion earned first-time noms this year.

MILEY CYRUS HAS WARDROBE MALFUNCTION AT NYFW – (02/14/2020)

Miley Cyrus and her nipple made a surprise appearance at New York Fashion Week.  On Wednesday night (February 12th) the 27-year-old singer hit the runway at the 2020 Marc Jacobs runway show in a black bra top and matching wide-leg trousers.

Images taken of Cyrus after the event show her walking around in a white and black halter with her breast fully exposed. 

She posted an image of the wardrobe malfunction on her Instagram page with the caption, “Swipe right. But hurry. Instagram will definitely be removing this post soon.”

A REP FOR RIHANNA’S SAVAGE X FENTY RESPONDS TO COMPLAINTS ABOUT DECEPTIVE MARKETING – (02/14/2020)

A rep for Rihanna‘s lingerie line Savage X Fenty has responded to allegations that they have been fooling customers into signing up for the site’s subscription service. As previously reported, according to the New York Post, consumer watchdog group TruthinAdvertising.org said that the line has “engaged in deceptive marketing and illegal business practices” that includes luring women into pricey $49.95-a-month memberships without their knowledge.

A Savage X Fenty rep told New York Times in a  statement that the allegations are false. The rep said,  “At Savage X Fenty, we believe strongly in transparency, which is why we provide multiple disclosures of membership terms throughout the shopping experience, within advertisements, and through our ambassador engagement policies.”

Rihanna launched Savage X Fenty in May 2018.

BILLIE EILISH RELEASES ‘JAMES BOND’ THEME – (02/14/2020)

Billie Eilish released the theme song for Jame’s Bond’s No Time To Die on Thursday (February 13th).  The track, which shares its name with the film, was produced by the Grammy winner’s brother Finneas and Stephen LipsonHans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley handled the orchestral arrangements, and Johnny Marr provided the guitar. 

In a statement, Eilish said, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honor. James Bond is the coolest film franchise to ever exist.”

The “Bad Guy” singer will perform the song live at the Brit Awards on Tuesday, February 18th.

TWITTER DRAGS JIM CARREY: Twitter came for Jim Carrey after he told a journalist she was the only thing left for him on his “bucket list” to do. The 58-year-old was being interviewed by Heat Magazine’s Charlotte Long. “Look up ‘sleazeball’ in the dictionary and there’s a photo of @JimCarrey,” user Vicki Pope wrote on Twitter, a reflection of many other fans’ thoughts.
