KATY PERRY & ORLANDO BLOOM ENGAGED – (02/18/2019)

Orlando Bloom popped the question to Katy Perry in a romantic Valentine’s Day proposal.

Katy’s mom Mary Hudson took to Facebook late Thursday night to share photos from the engagement party and of the engagement ring. “Look who got engaged on Valentines Day!!” she captioned some photos on her socials. The ring features diamonds surrounding a ruby center to form the shape of a flower. Andrew Brown, President, WP Diamonds told E! News that “Katy’s ring would retail in the range of $5 million.”

Katy then took to Instagram to share a photo of the ring. She captioned it, “full bloom.” Orlando posted the same photo and captioned it, “Lifetimes.”

Some of Katy’s friends were at the party as well, as confirmed via Instagram Stories. Some of the other attendees included her BFFs Markus Molinari, Johnny Wujek, Ferras, and Sarah Hudson.

Katy and Orlando started dating in 2016 and then broke up in March 2017. By the end of that year, they were back together.

Not only did Katy apparently get engaged Thursday, she also released her new song with Zedd, called “365.”

This will be the second marriage for both stars. Katy was previously married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012, and Orlando was previously married to model Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013, with whom he shares one son.

OSCARS TO AIR ENTIRE SHOW AFTER BACKLASH – (02/18/2019)

The Academy has reversed a controversial decision to not air the winners of some categories live after a backlash from several bold-faced names, including Brad Pitt, Russell Crowe, George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino and Guillermo del Toro. ABC previously announced that Cinematography, Film Editing, Live Action Short and Makeup and Hairstyling would be axed from the live show, with awards getting handed out during commercial breaks.

A statement from the Academy‘s board of directors reads: “The Academy has heard the feedback from its membership regarding the Oscar presentation of four awards – Cinematography, Film Editing, Live Action Short, and Makeup and Hairstyling. All Academy Awards will be presented without edits, in our traditional format. We look forward to Oscar Sunday, February 24.”

Meanwhile, Bette Midler announced on Twitter that she will perform “The Place Where Lost Things Go” live on the February 24th broadcast.

On thing that’s still MIA: a host. Kevin Hart stepped down after homophobic tweets of his were resurfaced. Instead, stars like Brie Larson, Emilia Clarke and Gary Oldman will hand out awards.

MEGHAN TRAINOR RELEASES BEAR-Y CUTE ‘ALL THE WAYS’ VIDEO & A SPICY PRESS RELEASE – (02/18/2019)

After releasing four other music videos to accompany songs off her new EP The Love Train, Meghan Trainor released a fifth one Friday for the song “All the Ways.”

The latest video stars actress Bailee Madison as a young woman in love with a giant teddy bear. The clip starts with her texting with the bear and then meeting him for a date. They have a whirlwind romance around New York City, but then they get into a fight when she catches him eyeing another teddy bear through a store window. The bear later shows up at her apartment with flowers and they make up. The video ends with the two of them having fun at a party together.

On Valentine’s Day, Meghan released the video for her song “Marry Me,” featuring footage from her own December wedding to Daryl Sabara. She’s also released videos for the songs “Good Mornin’,” “Foolish” and “After You.”

While the songs and videos are cute – it is Epic Records’s press release for The Love Train EP that has tongues wagging.

Between describing the “hot newlywed sex” Trainor sings about one of her songs and including the phrase “smashing bae’s junk to smithereens,” people are shocked by the erotic email.

At one point, the release even says, “We know, it’s a little bit #Vomworthy, but also, am I chopping onions right now or are those tears rolling down my face? I’m not crying, you’re crying.”

There’s also an oddly specific reveal that Trainor wrote her song “Marry Me” exactly 30 days after meeting her future husband. It also declares that Trainor’s music gets Billboard “wet.”

Turns out, the author of the thirsty release is comedic writer, Caroline Goldfarb. She writes for The Late Late Show and is one of the funniest women on the internet, “Oh my god the experimental press release I ghostwrote for Meghan Trainor’s team legitimately went viral! I’m dead,” she tweeted.
