TAYLOR SWIFT DONATES MONEY TO STRUGGLING WIDOW – (03/24/2021)

Taylor Swift has made another generous donation to a mom impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

On Tuesday (March 23rd), the “Love Story” singer and her mother Andrea donated $50,000, the exact goal amount of a GoFundMe dedicated to Vickie Quarles, the mother of five daughters whose husband died of COVID-19. 

In December 2020, the singer donated $13,000 to two mothers’ GoFundMe pages after reading a Washington Post article about Americans who are behind on the rent due to the lack of a stimulus package during the coronavirus pandemic.

JUSTIN BIEBER VISITS PRISON WITH PASTOR – (03/24/2021)

Justin Bieber made a trip to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on Tuesday (March 23rd) to spread the word of God.

A rep for CDCR told TMZ that the warden of the state prison signed off on a brief visit for him and his pastor to support faith-based programs. 

Although the exact pastor was unnamed, they were likely from Churchome.  Bieber made clear on Instagram in January that he was no longer affiliated with Hillsong Church and is a member of Churchome, lead by Judah and Chelsea Smith.

CARDI B DENIES ‘UP’ PAYOLA CLAIMS – (03/24/2021)

Cardi B has responded to claims that she paid radio stations in order for her new single “Up” to hit number one. She said in a video on Instagram, “It’s sad that when I win people gotta scramble with lies for my success .Like they ain’t saw everybody, people coming out Amazon trucks and ambulances dancing my sh*t.” 

She continued, “They love to run with that ‘Payola’ to make them feel better mind you I didn’t debute number 1 because of my low radio play and WAP barely made radio cause it was so explicit yet still made number 1.  Look at the second slide look at my AirPlay ( radio) compare to other artist radio spins.WHEN YOU START WINNING THE STORIES START SPINNING!!!” 

“Up” is Cardi’s fifth number one song.

PRINCE HARRY TO HEAD UP MENTAL HEALTH APP – (03/24/2021)

Prince Harry has taken on a job as executive of Silicon Valley startup BetterUp Inc., and online coaching and mental health firm. He is expected to guide product strategy decisions and charitable contributions, and advocate publicly on topics related to mental health.

He told the Wall Street Journal: “I intend to help create impact in people’s lives. Proactive coaching provides endless possibilities for personal development, increased awareness, and an all-round better life.”

Harry has long been an advocate for mental health, and has been using the app himself for a few months. “I was matched with my coach who, quite frankly, is truly awesome and has always given me sound advice and a fresh perspective, which is so valuable,” he told the WSJ.

DAVID DOBRIK’S ASSISTANT BREAKS SILENCENatalie Mariduena is speaking out about the sexual misconduct allegations involving David Dobrik. In a statement, she said: I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the recent allegations and because of the severity, it’s taken me time to process. Like many of you, I’m upset and angry and do not condone the behavior detailed in the article or any sexual misconduct/abuse for that matter.” She added: “I want to make it clear that I acknowledge, hear and support those who came forward and I stand by the victims.” The social media star has come under fire for abusive and manipulative behavior. A previous statement issued by attorney read: “David will be addressing his community directly. Anyone who knows him knows he does not condone misconduct in any form. Vlog participants provide consent before anything is posted. Whenever consent is retracted, posts are removed. Any insinuation of wrongdoing is inaccurate and defamatory.”

HALSEY ELABORATES ON PREFERRED PRONOUNS – (03/24/2021)

Halsey updated fans on their preferred pronouns in her Instagram Story Monday (March 23rd). 

The singer, who changed the pronouns in her biography section of Twitter and Instagram to they/them earlier this month, clarified that they are “happy with either” she or they. She wrote, “the inclusion of ‘they’ in addition to ‘she’ feels most authentic to me.”

The update comes only a few weeks after she reflected on her pregnancy, saying “it has leveled [their] perception of gender entirely.”
