ED SHEERAN BREAKS U2’S RECORD FOR HIGHEST GROSSING TOUR OF ALL TIME: Ed Sheeran has broken a major record with his Divide Tour. According to Billboard, the 28-year-old musician’s most recent tour is officially the highest-grossing tour ever. The tour, which spanned over two years and more than 250 dates, grossed a record-setting $776.2 million. Ed broke U2’s record from their 2009-2011 360° Tour. That tour earned $736.4 million. Before that, The Rolling Stones’ A Bigger Bang Tour held the record back in 2007. Ed’s Divide Tour began on March 16, 2017, in Turin, Italy and hit six continents over 30 months. At the last of his four shows in Ipswich Monday, he hinted he may be closing the chapter on doing solo performances with just a loop pedal and a guitar.

Halsey has fired back after being accused of “ignoring” Shawn Mendes’ performance at the VMAs.

During the show Monday night, cameras captured footage of the Halsey texting when Mendes took the stage to sing his hit song, “If I Can’t Have You.” It didn’t take long for the video to go viral and for fans to wonder who she could have possibly been messaging.

Halsey took to Twitter to clarify why she was on her phone, as well as confirm she wasn’t trying to disrespect Mendes in any way. “can everyone stop saying I was checking my phone during Shawn’s performance I was texting my mom to make sure she was ok in the audience!!!!!! (and also I was dancing!!!!),” she explained.

A fan responded to her tweet by posting a video that sees her dancing to Mendes’ song after sending her text.

In another tweet, Halsey also debunked the rumor that she brought her ex to the event after fans believed the man sitting beside her was rapper G-Eazy. But it wasn’t him – it was just someone that looked like him.

“award show season is really just *so fun* for me because apparently both my managers look like my ex boyfriend. lots of white dudes with black hair in suits happening. everyone relax,” she tweeted.

Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson lost his cool at a University of Central Florida show when attendees violated his no-cellphone rule.

“That’s what’s f–ked up. You were the one filming. That’s right, we’re embarrassing. That’s why the world is going to end in 25 years because you’re all f–king retarded,” Davidson, 25, ranted on Monday. “I meant it that way, idiots. You should f–king grow up. It says no phones. … You’re just supposed to just like behave. I have to have my boy patrol you guys like you’re 5 years old? That’s f–king embarrassing.

“You should grow up,” he continued in the middle of his set. “Where’s the next generation? … Don’t you want your parents to be proud of you? … Now we’ll continue.”

Show-goers were not into his routine, calling him out on social media for attempting to flip his tantrum into a motivational speech: “imagine going on a 5 minute … rant about how you hate millennials recording s–t and then tryna backtrack into making it a motivational speech  we ain’t even pay to see this s–t;;;; reLAX!”

Attendees also noted that there weren’t signs posted about cellphone use, and the MC and performers prior to him didn’t address the issue.
