ALLY BROOKE & SASHA FARBER EARN HIGHEST SCORE THIS SEASON ON ‘DWTS’ – (10/15/2019)

Last night (October 14th) Ally Brooke and dance partner Sasha Farber earned the highest score of the season on Dancing with the Stars. On Monday, each of the competing stars and their pro dance partners performed to hit Disney songs from The Lion King, Aladdin, Toy Story and Mary Poppins.

Ally Brooke and Sasha danced to “Beauty and the Beast” and scored with a 27/30. The former Fifth Harmony member said about dancing to the song, “This song is so meaningful to me that one day I want it to be played at my wedding. This is my parents’ favorite film. This isn’t just for me, it’s for them. It’s so magical.”

Meanwhile, Sailor Brinkley Cook and dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy received a 24/30 for their Viennese waltz to Cinderella’s “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes” and Karamo and his partner Jenna Johnson received a 21/30 for their samba to “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from The Lion King.

Additionally, Sean Spicer and pro dancer Lindsay Arnold received a 19/30 for their quickstep to “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story. Spicer paid tribute to his dad, who he compared to Toy Story’s Woody. He explained, “In 2015, my father got sick with cancer and we wanted to bring the whole family together to have that Disney experience to create a memory that will last forever, not just for me but for my children as well.”

He added, “My father passed away from pancreatic cancer on Dec. 1 of 2016. Right now this is an opportunity to pay homage to my father: a great man, a great friend, a great inspiration. Getting to relive the memory I had here with my dad has been truly amazing. This is going to be so much more than a dance for me. I would like to dedicate this dance to my dad and all the fathers out there who suffered from cancer but still being the best dad that they can.”

By the end of the show, the cast was surprised to find out that there wouldn’t be an elimination. No one was sent home!

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.

HUGH GRANT PROMPTS DEBATE BY SAYING MOVIE THEATERS ARE ‘UNENDURABLE’ – (10/15/2019)

Hugh Grant says that the “unendurable” volume of watching Joker in the theater ruined the experience for him.

“Am I old or is the cinema MUCH TOO LOUD?” he tweeted after going to see the Joaquin Phoenix-starring new film at a Vue cinema in Fulham, London.

He then called the experience “unendurable” and “pointless.”

Several users sympathized with Grant. Tweeted one: “Cinemas are way too loud for me nowadays.”

Despite the volume, moviegoers are coming out in droves to see Joker, which has enjoyed the biggest October opener ever, grossing $93.5 million in its first weekend. Grant can next be seen in theaters with Matthew McConaughey in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen
