GABBY BARRETT TOPS HOT AC CHARTS – (10/21/2020)

Gabby Barrett has scored her first No. 1 single on the Hot AC charts with “I Hope” featuring Charlie Puth. The three-time platinum crossover, marks the country star’s first Hot AC chart-topper as well as her first Billboard Hot 100 Top 10, sitting at #8-and-climbing. 

The anthem also continues its streaming dominance as the most-streamed Country song of the year, and currently sits atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for its 13th week. 

In a press release, Barrett expressed her gratitude to Puth “for hopping on this song and making it even bigger.”  

She will perform the chart-topping hit tonight (October 21s) at the CMT Music Awards where she is nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year – both for “I Hope.”

ALL OF SHAWN MENDES’ SONGS ARE ABOUT CAMILLA CABELLO – (10/21/2020)

The official trailer for the Shawn Mendes documentary, In Wonder, revealed that Camilla Cabello has been the inspiration for all of his songs. 

At the end of the trailer, released Tuesday (October 20th) the Grammy nominated singer says, [“A song comes on the radio or something and I’m like everything is about you, they’ve always been about you. She goes, ‘What do you mean?’ I’m like, ‘They’re all about you. Like, every song I ever wrote.’”]

According to Page Six, the couple met in 2014 after touring together as opening acts for Austin Mahone and took their relationship public after collaborating on the songs “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and “Señorita’ in 2019. 

The documentary will debut November 23rd on Netflix.

MILEY CYRUS IS WORKING ON AN ALBUM OF METALLICA COVERS – (10/21/2020)

Miley Cyrus is working on an album of Metallica covers.

The singer told fashion designer Rick Owens during a conversation featured in Interview magazine, “We’ve been working on a Metallica cover album and I’m here working on that.” She also revealed that she was not at home and taking the call from “someone else’s bed.”

Cyrus previously covered Metallica’s “Noting Else Matters” at Glastonbury in 2019.

BILLIE EILISH RELEASES NEW INFO ABOUT VIRTUAL CONCERT – (10/21/2020)

Billie Eilish has revealed new details about her upcoming virtual concert on October 24th.  

According to a press release, Eilish will perform live with her brother Finneas and long-time touring drummer Andrew Marshall and 500 lucky fans will have the opportunity to interact with the singer throughout the event.  The entire show will be shot using state-of-the art XR technology. 

There will also be a pre-show starting at 2pm PT/5pm ET that will feature giveaway, guest appearances, contests and  the debut of an exclusive never-before-seen clip from the R.J Cutler directed, Apple TV+ documentary film Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry

HOLLYWOOD SENDS LOVE TO JEFF BRIDGES FOLLOWING LYMPHOMA DIAGNOSIS – (10/21/2020)

Hollywood is rallying behind Jeff Bridges. The Big Lebowski star shared his cancer diagnosis on social media: “As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.”

Thousands of fans sent their well wishes, as did Olivia Wilde, George Takei, Rosario Dawson, Patricia Arquette, Andy Garcia, Rosanna Arquette, Rosie Perez, Steve Martin, Julianne Moore, Elle Fanning and Barbra Streisand.

Takei hailed him as a “fighter” who “can beat this.” Oscar nominee Perez, who starred opposite Bridges in 1993’s Fearless, wrote, “My prayers are with you my friend. Sending love and a big hug.”

“Just was talking about you last week when I was filming an interview about how brilliant you were in The Mirror Has Two Faces, and how much fun I had with you,” Streisand wrote on Instagram. “You have such a joyful spirit that I know you will overcome this temporary blip. Sending lots of love and light.”

Moore wrote: “Oh no. Love u Jeff.” 

FX and Hulu released a statement on Bridges, who is set to star in their new drama, The Old Man: “Our thoughts go out to Jeff and his family during this challenging time and they have our love and support. We wish him a safe and full recovery. And, as Jeff always says, ‘We are all in this together.’ Jeff, we are in this together with you.”

The two types of lymphoma cancer are Hodgkin lymphoma and Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Symptoms of Hodgkin lymphoma include enlarged lymph nodes, fever, unexplained weight loss. Symptoms of non-Hodgkin lymphoma include enlarged lymph nodes, chills, fatigue and weight loss.
