SELENA GOMEZ NO LONGER THE MOST FOLLOWED PERSON ON INSTAGRAM: Selena Gomez is no longer the most followed person on Instagram. It was reported yesterday that Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has dethroned the social media queen, though by a relatively small margin. At press time, the professional athlete has 144,376,191 followers, while the pop star is not far behind with 144,335,107. But Gomez might not mind giving up the title, as she told her fans last month, she’s taking a social media break. “Taking a social media break. Again,” she wrote on Instagram in September. “As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi.” The post came shortly before news broke that the singer had entered a mental health treatment facility following hospitalizations.

ARIANA GRANDE SAYS THE ‘BREATHIN’ VIDEO IS ‘COMING’ – (10/30/2018)

Ariana Grande has hinted at the forthcoming release for her song “Breathin” from Sweetener via Twitter.

“Jus keep breathin,” the 25-year-old wrote in an initial post. A fan then replied, “Release the video plz.” Grande responded with, “It’s coming. love you.”

Grande also teased a second, official video for “Breathin” on October 10th after releasing a visual for the song that features self-shot footage of her pet Piggy Smallz.

Ariana recently announced a tour for Sweetener, which was released in August this year.

Meanwhile, Ariana has made her triumphant return to the stage. NBC aired A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway last night. As part of the pre-taped special, Grande performed an impressive rendition of “The Wizard and I” in front of many of the musical’s biggest fans.

The performance marked Grande’s first time back on the stage since her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died of an apparent overdose in September and she and ex-fiancée Pete Davidson called off their engagement in mid-October.

At the event, which also marked Grande’s first public appearance post-split, the pop star was without her 3-carat, $93,000 engagement ring and covered up her “Pete” finger tattoo.
