She continued, “I think that happens any time you’ve been in a 15-year relationship and it end in a messy, upsetting way.”
In June 2019, Braun bought the rights to Swift’s catalog from her original label, Big Machine. According to Swift, she was unable to negotiate to get the masters for her first six albums back unless she signed an ironclad NDA saying she would never speak negatively about Braun. Instead, her music, videos and album art was sold to Shamrock Holdings in November 2020.

ELLEN STRUGGLING: Following her kindness scandal, Ellen DeGeneres and her show are struggling to stay afloat. Staffers tell BuzzFeed News that the show has lost advertisers and is having trouble booking A-listers. Ratings are plummeting too. “For the first time, everyone was starting to ask us, ‘If you have an idea, tell us because we will listen. If you have an idea for a celeb, even if they’re not A-list or famous, we’ll take anyone who will bring us numbers and eyeballs,’” the staffer said. “That’s when they started to be real with us and essentially said, ‘Give us anything because we need help.’ Our old strategy doesn’t work anymore.” (BuzzFeed)
