MAROON 5 TAPS TRAVIS SCOTT FOR SUPER BOWL 2019 HALFTIME SHOW: Maroon 5 has reportedly finally found a performer to join them for the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show: Travis Scott, TMZ reports. There were rumors that Maroon 5 was having trouble booking other entertainers for the show. They’re also reportedly in talks with Cardi B and Outkast’s Big Boi to also perform. The publication is also reporting that Scott’s girlfriend Kylie Jenner and their daughter Stormi will be in attendance. While the NFL still has not confirmed that Maroon 5 even has the job, Adam Levine said he was “still formulating a lot of things” when recently asked. The Super Bowl will air live from Atlanta on February 3rd. More than 75,000 people have signed a Change.org petition asking Maroon 5 to back out of the event to support Colin Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback who started the #TakeAKnee movement to protest racial injustices.

TWITTER REACTS TO NEWS THAT KARJENNERS ARE SHUTTING APPS DOWN – (12/21/2018)

LOL, the Internet guffawed, after news broke that the KarJenner clan is pulling the plug on its apps in 2019. Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have announced that they’re shutting down their apps and websites, which cost $2.99 per month. They are following Kendall‘s lead, who decided to shutter hers last year.

“We’ve had an incredible experience connecting with all of you through our apps these past few years but have made the difficult decision to no longer continue updating in 2019,” read the statement from the sisters, which was nearly identical to Kendall’s. “We truly hope you’ve enjoyed this journey as much as we have, and we look forward to what’s ahead.”

The apps, which launched in 2015, took off like gangbusters, but then withered. Per CNNMoney, about 1.5 million downloaded Kylie’s app in the first five days. Khloé had 398,000 in the first five days, Kim had 362,000 and Kendall received 216,000 downloads. Kourtney released her app later.

On Twitter, users—perhaps predictably—greeted the news with glee. One user asked, “Can they keep themselves off tv too,” while another crowed, “best news I’ve heard all year!”
