MEGHAN TRAINOR IS HAVING A BOY: Meghan Trainor is having a baby boy. The singer allowed her husband Daryl Sabara to share the news with Kelly Clarkson. According to an Instagram post, Trainor will share all of her “big baby reveals” Tuesday, October 27th on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
MILEY CYRUS CLAIMS SHE SAW A UFO – (10/22/2020)
Miley Cyrus revealed that she was once “chased down by some sort of UFO” while driving through San Bernardino.
The “Midnight Sky” singer told Interview magazine, “I’m pretty sure about what I saw, but I’d also bought weed wax from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop, so it could have been the weed wax.”
According to her description, the UFO looked like a “flying snowplow” and was “glowing yellow.”
She continued, “I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too. There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real.”
Cyrus says the incident left her shaken for five days, fearing it might come back.
BLACKPINK EXPLAINED THEIR NAME: BLACKPINK recently revealed to Jimmy Kimmel the meaning of their name. Rosé explained, “BLACKPINK is—we kind of felt like there’s two colors that represented us the most ‘cause we’re very girly but at the same time we’re very savage too.”
JESSIE J IS SINGLE: Jessie J is back on the market. The singer, who has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Channing Tatum since September 2018, revealed her status in an Instagram post Tuesday (October 20th). She captioned a video of herself twerking with, “Single life in a pandemic”. Billboard reports that the two broke up in December before getting back together in early 2020.
ARIANA GRANDE ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE – (10/22/2020)
Ariana Grande’s new single, “Positions” drops tomorrow (Friday, October 23rd) . The singer made the announcement on Instagram, alongside a black and white image of herself in a long-sleeved crop top and matching skirt.
A second post shared a very brief clip of the song, played over the name of the single and an image of the singer, while a countdown clock appeared in her stories.
The singer first revealed on Oct. 14 that she was dropping her sixth studio album this month.
FINNEAS PREMIERES ‘CAN’T WAIT TO BE DEAD’ – (10/22/2020)
The music video for Finneas’s latest track, “Can’t Wait To Be Dead” premieres today (October 22nd). The video was directed by Constellation Jones, who also directed Finneas and his sister Billie Eilish in a special The Tonight Show performance of “No Time To Die”.
Finneas said in a press release, “I’m happy for this song to mean anything to anyone who listens to it but to me, it’s a song about my relationship with the Internet. Especially in an election year. Especially during a pandemic. Sometimes, the internet makes me laugh, sometimes it makes me cry, sometimes it makes me hopeful. But sometimes, it really makes me wanna be dead.”

DISNEY DROPS RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON TRAILER: Disney has shared a teaser trailer for Raya and the Last Dragon, set for a March 12, 2021 release. The Southeast Asia-inspired fantasy follows Raya, voiced by Kelly Marie Tran, and the last dragon, Sisu, voiced by Awkwafina. Don Hall and Carlos Lopez Estrada direct.
LEGALLY BLONDE 3 DELAYS RELEASE: Legally Blonde 3 has pushed back its release date to May 2022. Reese Witherspoon is reprising her role as a sorority girl-turned-lawyer Elle Woods. The MGM production was slated to open this February, but the pandemic changed everything. Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor wrote the screenplay; a director has not been set, co-stars have not been named and plot details are under wraps.
