ARIANA GRANDE GOES LAVENDER – (07/19/2018)
Ariana Grande may have taken a style cue from her latest music video.
The singer revealed a Sweetener-inspired hair transformation on Instagram Wednesday when she posted a Polaroid of her newly dyed tresses.
“Lavender,” Grande simply captioned the picture, adding, “Jus for fun,” on her Instagram Story.
Courtesy of hairstylist Josh Liu, the newly engaged pop star’s hair was dubbed “lavender dreams.” Also missing from the new ‘do was Grande’s signature ponytail.
Fiancé Pete Davidson also expressed his adoration for Grande’s hair, leaving five purple heart emojis in the comments section.
Lavender was the dreamy color predominantly featured in her “God Is a Woman” music video when she was bathing in a pool of pastel paint.
And the light purple shade is the latest hair treatment before Grande releases her upcoming fourth studio album on August 17th.
She previously went platinum blonde for the album art for Sweetener, which she revealed in June.
SHAWN MENDES CONGRATULATES HAILEY BALDWIN ON HER ENGAGEMENT TO JUSTIN BIEBER – (07/19/2018)
Shawn Mendes has revealed how he reacted to news that Hailey Baldwin was engaged to Justin Bieber.
The 19-year-old singer, who attended the Met Gala with Hailey, says he texted her a congratulatory message.
“I texted Hailey the day of, and I said congrats. That’s what it is. I think everybody wants there to be more – there’s not,” Shawn said on Australian show The Project.
Shawn and Hailey were the subject of dating rumors earlier this year but they shot down rumors that the Met Gala was their big debut.
Despite the duo being just friends, Hailey deleted photos with Shawn from her Instagram after she started dating Justin.
Meanwhile, actress Kim Basinger, who is mom to Hailey’s cousin Ireland, gives Us Weekly some new scoop about the impending nuptials.
“Oh, it’ll be fun,” Basinger says. “[Hailey’s sister] Alaia [Baldwin] and [cousin] Ireland, they’re in the wedding. So believe me, I just – it’s cool! I think it’s sweet. It’s a very sweet thing. Happiness … We’re living in some really dire times right now.”
She also expressed her approval of the pairing.
“I’m very, very happy for Hailey. I think it’s a good thing,” she says. “I think Justin’s a cool guy. I don’t really know him at all, but Ireland does, you know? I think he’s come through a rough road. He’s a really cool kid. I pray for them. I hope they’re cool. I hope they’re happy! It’s wild! I think it’s wild!”
Justin and Hailey got engaged in the Bahamas earlier this month. They began seeing each other again in June after previously dating from 2015 to 2016.
Justin recently reminded everyone that they are very into each other with an Instagram post. In the post, Justin and Hailey make out like no one is watching in a hot tub. But, like, obviously someone is watching – at very least the someone who snapped the photo.
John Mayer actually commented on the post with a shoutout to the awkward, unidentified photographer.
“Interesting dynamic with the photographer in the hot tub,” the musician wrote. “That’s gotta feel super third wheel. I see a lot of myself in this hot tub photographer. Imagine being in a hot tub on business.”
CHARLIE PUTH ON ‘THE TONIGHT SHOW’ – (07/19/2018)
Charlie Puth was Jimmy Fallon’s musical guest on Tuesday’s The Tonight Show and performed “The Way I Am,” from his latest album, Voicenotes.
He also showcased songs from his supposed brand-new album Charlie Puth Sings 90s Punk Rock, and the bonus collection, Charlie Puth Sings Spice Girls.
Those last two weren’t real, of course, but part of a bit in which Puth crooned soft pop versions of 1990s punk rockers, such as blink-182’s “All the Small Things” and Lit’s “My Own Worst Enemy.”
The bonus album featured Puth singing Spice Girls hits, including “Wannabe.”
After all the antics were over, Fallon finally introduced Puth, who is currently on tour and promoting his new single “The Way I Am” off of Voicenotes.
ED SHEERAN DOCUMENTARY, ‘SONGWRITER,’ COMING AUGUST 28TH – (07/19/2018)
Ed Sheeran’s Songwriter documentary has an official release date.
The film, directed by Ed’s cousin Murray Cummings, will be available worldwide exclusively on Apple Music on August 28th. It will also be released theatrically in New York on August 17th at the IFC Center and in Los Angeles at the ArcLight Hollywood on August 24th.
“Songwriter gives viewers a unique glimpse into the songwriting process,” Ed says in a statement. “Murray’s film brilliantly documents the hard work and DNA that goes into creating a song from start to finish.”
The documentary follows Ed has he creates his album Divide, while also showing never before-seen-footage from his family’s archives. The trailer shows him working with collaborators including Julia Michaels and Johnny McDaid, creating the song “Galway Girl,” and visiting his old high school.
Benny Blanco, Foy Vance, and Amy Wadge also make appearances.
“I decided to make something different,” Cummings says in a statement. “I wasn’t going to show fame. I didn’t want paparazzi, screaming fans or big stadiums. I didn’t want to have sit down interviews because I didn’t want to tell the audience how something came to be, I just wanted to show them. And I wanted the focus to be the songwriting.”
DUA LIPA RECORDING THE NEXT JAMES BOND THEME SONG?: Dua Lipa could be the next artist to record a James Bond theme song if the band Years & Years are to be believed. During an interview with the BBC, Years & Years’ Mikey Goldsworthy may have let the cat out of the bag. “I thought they’d ask us to do the theme song but alas I think it’s Dua Lipa doing it,” Mikey said. “Am I not supposed to say that? That’s what I heard…I feel bad now. Maybe I’ve ruined everything!” he added. The last couple of themes have been recorded by Sam Smith (“Writing’s on the Wall”), Adele (“Skyfall”), Jack White and Alicia Keys (“Another Way to Die”) and more. Bond 25, starring Daniel Craig in the title role, will hit theaters on November 8, 2019.

‘GAME OF THRONES’ LEADS EMMY NOMINATIONS WITH 22 – (07/13/2018)
HBO’s Game of Thrones led all shows with 22 Emmy nominations. HBO’s Westworld and NBC’s Saturday Night Live were nipping at GOT’s heels with 21 each. Hulu’s Handmaid’s Tale nabbed 20.
GOT was nominated for Best Drama Series, where it will face off against mega-hit and last year’s winner, The Handmaid’s Tale.
For the first time since 2011, Julia Louis-Dreyfus is not up for Best Actress in a Comedy. Rachel Brosnahan, Tracee Ellis-Ross and Issa Rae are among those battling it out for the award.
The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Michael Che and Colin Jost, will air live on NBC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on September 17.

HARRY STYLES HELPS FAN COME OUT AT SAN JOSE SHOW – (07/13/2018)
Harry Styles helped a fan come out to her parents during his concert. The One Direction star was playing a solo show at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, on Wednesday night when he noticed a girl holding a sign in the crowd which caught his eye.
The poster read: “I’m gonna come out to my parents because of you.”
According to social media posts from fans at the concert, Harry looked at the sign, asked what the mom’s name was, and said: “Tina, she’s gay.”
Harry also made the concert a special – and amusing – one for another member of the audience, as he tried to guess the gender of the pregnant fan’s unborn baby.
It is a mystery to everyone, but the 24-year-old singer made a prediction as he led the crowd in a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ after saying: “Congratulations to Rachel and your son.”

SELENA GOMEZ STARS IN PUMA’S AMP XT CAMPAIGN; NOT DATING HER BFF’S BROTHER – (07/13/2018)
Those rumors about Selena Gomez dating her best friend’s brother are not true. The 25-year-old singer was photographed this week with Caleb Stevens, the younger brother of her best friend Raquelle Stevens, and rumors quickly spread that they are a new couple.
Selena and Caleb were spotted leaving a cabin in upstate New York on Wednesday. “They’re absolutely only friends,” a source told People. “They’re not dating.”
Selena was previously pictured with Caleb at Taylor Swift’s concert in Pasadena, California, back in May. She was the surprise guest at that show.
Meanwhile, Selena stars in Puma’s latest campaign for their Amp XT trainer, as part of the DO YOU family.

ARIANA GRANDE BUMPS UP ‘GOD IS A WOMAN’ RELEASE DATE, TEASES NEW SONG – (07/13/2018)
Ariana Grande released her new song “God Is a Woman” early. The song was originally supposed to come on July 20th, but Ariana tweeted that the song would actually be out today.
“i have to tell u sum in a lil bit,” she tweeted, before revealing, “surprise. twenty four hours til giaw.”
Ariana previously announced that “God Is a Woman” will be the next single off her upcoming album Sweetener, following “No Tears Left to Cry.” She explained that the song is about, “sexual female empowerment & how women are literally everything & the universe is inside of us tbh.”
Sweetener comes out August 17th.
Ariana also gave fans an exclusive preview of her new song “r.e.m.” from Sweetener. After a photo shoot for Elle magazine’s August issue, the singer sat down to play a few rounds of Song Association, a singing game where she is given a word and has 10 seconds to sing a line containing that word.
When the word “dream” popped up on the screen, Grande delved into the lyrics of her new track, singing: “Why you such a dream to me/Before you speak don’t walk/’Cause I don’t want to wake up.”
“That’s my song, it’s coming,” Grande added.
Grande also sang clips from Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” Whitney Houston’s “Queen of the Night” and “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole. The lineup even included renditions of the 25-year-old’s previous hits, including “Dangerous Woman” and “Moonlight,” from her third studio album, Dangerous Woman.
HALSEY AND KHALID DUET ON BENNY BLANCO’S ‘EASTSIDE,’ CO-PENNED BY ED SHEERAN – (07/13/2018)
Halsey and Khalid have teamed up for a new duet co-written by Ed Sheeran. The track, called “Eastside,” marks the debut single from producer Benny Blanco, who’s produced songs for the likes of Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Cardi B, Kesha and more.
Blanco teased a snippet of the song on Instagram earlier this week and tagged all three artists. The track has Halsey and Khalid reminiscing about a past relationship and wanting to run away with that person and start over.
Blanco announced on Monday that he’d be releasing new songs under his own name but sung by other artists.
“i have decided to release some songs as benny blanco,” he wrote. “Don’t worry i wont be singing on them… i got all my friends to sing em… hope u like them… and if u dont i dont care cuz i do.”

CARDI B AND OFFSET WELCOME DAUGHTER – (07/12/2018)
Cardi B and Offset have welcomed their daughter, Kulture. According to TMZ, Cardi gave birth to Kulture Kiari Cephus, with Offset by her side on Tuesday (July 10th) at an Atlanta hospital. Cardi announced the baby’s arrival on Instagram Wednesday (July 11th), uploading a photo of a maternity photo with the caption, “Kulture Kiari Cephus 07/10/18🎀🌸 @offsetyrn.”
In other news, according to The Blast, Nicki Minaj sent Cardi and Offset a $5,000 gift basket. Petit Trésor, an upscale baby boutique in West Hollywood said that Nicki purchased the basket moments after the birth announcement was made. The store was reportedly told to make the basket “as girly as possible,” including luxury seasonal clothing, dolls, stuffed animals and a sterling silver rattle. The basket was shipped and delivered by end of day Wednesday (July 11th).
HAILEY BALDWIN BUYS JUSTIN BIEBER HIS OWN ENGAGEMENT RING – (07/12/2018)
Hailey Baldwin has taken Justin Bieber to the jewelers after she received a stunning engagement ring of her own.
According to The Blast, the couple headed to Pristine Jewelers so that Hailey’s ring could be re-sized and she could purchase something special for Justin.
Hailey reportedly bought Justin his own engagement ring – diamond encrusted ring with the initials, “JB” – as well as another custom made diamond ring for herself with the word, “Baby.”
Justin is said to have also purchased a 33 carat diamond encrusted Patek Philippe watch for himself.
ARIANA GRANDE POSTS CRYPTIC THANK YOU NOTE TO MADONNA; TALKS LIFE AFTER MANCHESTER BOMBINGS – (07/12/2018)
Ariana Grande posted a picture Wednesday with Madonna, someone Grande has consistently cited as an inspiration and mentor. The caption on the photo read “thank you @madonna… u know why,” with a heart emoji and an emoji of the Golden Gate Bridge – an emoji Grande has used often when posting about her new music.
This is not the first time the two hitmakers have met – Grande joined Madonna onstage in Miami during her Rebel Heart Tour and also performed at Madonna’s 2016 charity event at Art Basel in Miami.
The picture excited Grande’s fans and also sparked curiosity as to why the picture was posted now, and whether the pic is from a prior event or was taken recently. Grande has been finishing up her upcoming studio album Sweetener, due August 17th, and fans were quick to hope that a Madonna collaboration will be on the album.
Meanwhile, Ariana has gotten candid about last year’s terrorist attack during her concert in Manchester, which took the lives of 22 people.
“When I got home from tour, I had really wild dizzy spells, this feeling like I couldn’t breathe,” she revealed to ELLE Magazine during her recent cover interview. “I would be in a good mood, fine and happy, and they would hit me out of nowhere. I’ve always had anxiety, but it had never been physical before. There were a couple of months straight where I felt so upside down.”
That feeling is what fueled the marketing campaign behind her upcoming album Sweetener, in which everything is flipped upside down. Though the full record is the result of her processing the trauma, one song in particular addresses her anxiety.
“It’s all the voices in my head talking to one another,” she says of “Get Well Soon,” which was co-written by Pharrell Williams.
“You hear about these things. You see it on the news, you tweet a hashtag. It’s happened before, and it’ll happen again,” she says. “It makes you sad, you think about it for a little, and then people move on. But experiencing something like that firsthand, you think of everything different.”
And lucky enough to score a ticket for Ariana’s the Amazon Music Unboxing concert in New York City were in for a treat when she performed “The Light Is Coming” for just the second time.
Grande performed a 10-song set which featured the hits “No Tears Left to Cry” and “Dangerous Woman” and streamed live on Amazon and Twitch.
The Nicki Minaj-assisted “The Light Is Coming” dropped June 20th.

The 20-year-old Kylie Jenner is on her way to becoming one of the richest, most successful and youngest entrepreneurs in the country. Jenner covers Forbes’ “Richest Self-Made Women” issue, landing at No. 27 in their tally.
Since founding Kylie Cosmetics in February of 2016, her company has earned more than $630 million in revenue. (She is the sole owner). And by leveraging her massive social media following (110 million on Instagram, 25.6 million on Twitter), she has amassed a fortune worth $900 million.
“The most successful women entrepreneurs in the country are increasingly taking advantage of technology, including social media, to help them launch and grow businesses,” editor Luisa Kroll says. “That’s one reason why we’ve seen a notable influx of Instagram-savvy moguls like 20-year-old Kylie Jenner in the ranks of America’s richest self-made women.”
The combined net worth of this issue’s crop is worth $71 billion, 15% more than last year’s. The minimum required for entrée on the list is $320 million. Jenner is the youngest to be featured. DJ Khaled and Justin Bieber’s last summer anthem, “I’m The One,” was a huge hit and now the producer says their latest one will be “one of the biggest anthems.”
Khaled appeared on Conan Tuesday night where he officially spilled the beans on a new collab he’s dropping soon with newly engaged Justin Bieber.
DJ Khaled says if his son Asahd likes a track, then it’ll be a hit. Apparently, his executive producer son loved this new track with Bieber, and if it’s anything like their last collab, it looks like Khaled will have predicted right.
During the same episode, he also announced he is dropping a soap line. “I’ma make my own soap. So I’m here to announce today – and this is crazy that we’re talking about this – that I’m going to make my own soap,” he said. “Let me ask the fans: if you go to the store and you see another soap and my soap, which one are you going to get?”
